Program "Tambores" presents the Nyabinghi party! Win 2 exclusive VIPs!

Reggae's most democratic party and radio program join forces with the world's best dancehall and dub labels for an unforgettable party in Rio de Janeiro. On Thursday, September 27, the program Tambores, from Oi FM, presents a special edition of Niyabinghi at Casarão Cultural dos Arcos, in Lapa (Rio de Janeiro), celebrating the arrival in Brazil of records from the Ariwa and VP Records labels through Sound System Brazil. Ariwa belongs to the pope of dub Mad Professor (UK), and its collection includes more than 200 albums with the best reggae produced in England to this day, both from Professor Maluco himself and from names such as U Roy, Macka B, Lee Perry and Max Romeo. VP Records, based in New York, is the largest reggae label in the world and has in its roster the most successful artists inside and outside Jamaica, such as Sean Paul, Capleton, Luciano, Jah Cure and Mavado. Sound System Brazil is the label bringing all this to the Brazilian market, alongside 100% national releases from Afonjah, Marcelo Santana, Digitaldubs Sound System and other good new things from our own backyard. Niyabinghi was the first party to open space for dancehall in the city, in 2001, and to this day remains marked by its pioneering spirit, representing both reggae's vanguard and its History and culture, having promoted crowded Niyabinghi drum workshops last summer. Thursday, September 27, from 11 p.m., you will enjoy videos from VP Records and Ariwa on the big screen, and reggae by Fernando Costa (Tambores, Oi FM) on the pick ups, with special participation by Nabby Clifford (Ghana) on the microphone. Next, the Live PA FIGA brings singer Sista Wolff (ex-Nocaute, who has just recorded with Mad Professor) and her powerful mix of ragga and macumba touches, with DJ Castro, ogã Daniel Conceição and appearances by Donatinho on effects and Funnk MC and Sandro Black on vocals, setting everything on fire! After the Live, DJ Castro (Black Alien, A Filial) continues without letting the beat drop, releasing heavy new roots and dancehall tracks, and to close, DJ Daniroots (Roots Combo) and guest MCs deliver explosive lyrics and riddims until morning!
