As expected, Stephen Marley took the award for Reggae's best album in the 50th edition of Grammy, the world's biggest prize. The album "Mind Control" released by Tuff Gong/Ghetto Youths/Universal Republic is a true mix of Reggae, R&B and other rhythms, a trend that has also been followed by other artists such as his own brother Ziggy Marley. Besides Stephen, they ran for the award: Burning Spear, Lee Perry, Sly & Robbie and the Taxi Gang and Toots & the Maytals. All nominees except Marley had already won the award.
