The objective is to draw attention to ecosystem conservation: Discussing the preservation of the seas through actions that have already worked and checking what can still be done to conserve the marine environment is the objective of the event "VIDA MARINHA - Desenvolvimento e preservação dos mares", to be held on May 16, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at Parque Balneário Hotel, in Santos (SP).
An initiative of TV Tribuna, with support from Alma Surf magazine and production by Una Eventos, the event aims to alert the public to ocean conservation, as important as the preservation of forests. "A great challenge today is to reconcile economic activities with impact on the coast - such as hotel construction, predatory fishing, dumping and oil extraction - with the preservation of marine flora and fauna. Despite punctual advances, we still live with the drama of the extinction of many species around the world", says the president-director of TV Tribuna, Roberto Clemente Santini.
To debate the different issues related to ocean preservation, lectures will be given by specialists and representatives of institutions linked to the theme. Environmental education, species preservation and sustainable development will be addressed at the event, in addition to the presentation of successful cases. Local universities support the seminar. Those interested in attending the lectures can register, free of charge, starting May 02, on the Una Eventos website (www.unaeventos.com.br/vidamarinha).
