Following the portal's motto "DO TRADICIONAL AO CONTEMPORÂNEO", the festival's program includes all aspects of the most famous Jamaican rhythm. After playing at the biggest festivals and dancefloors in the world, the British General Levy comes to Brasil for the first time accompanied by the German Sound System Blessed Love. They represent international contemporary reggae, and promise to recreate the atmosphere of the best reggae parties in the world.
The festival also brings important references of the genre in Brasil such as the presentation of the ragga-man Black Alien, the actor Urcasônica Sound System, the versatile singer Dacal and also a selection of artists committed to the musical movement in the country: such as Castro, Tamempi, ChicoDub, JocaSan, Tata and LX (ES). Maintaining the link with tradition, the strength of the big bands Aliança (RJ) and the prestigious Leões de Israel (SP), closing the celebration and temporal journey through the phases of Jamaican rhythm.
The celebration, which begins with a large drum circle Nyabinghi, flies over the foundations and modern structures, ending in traditional reggae, is illuminated by the Rio crew Etnia Brasillis who takes care of the projection of images during the presentations. The VJs also select the films, videos and shorts that are shown outside Arena during the event. The new portal will launch the first version of the website printed in a magazine (REGGAE MOVIMENTO PRENSADO) during the festival. In addition to recording the DVD RM3 that will accompany the second issue scheduled for November.
