EXPORT: Digitaldubs and Dada Yute bring Brazilian reggae to Mexico!

On November 1st, when the great festival RAZTLAN begins in the city of Tijuana, alongside classics such as U-Roy, Max Romeo, and great names of the reggae of Argentina, México and Porto Rico, will be representing Brazil the sound system carioca Digitaldubs (through the music producer and DJ MPC) and the São Paulo singer, Dada Yute. This partnership, which now arrives on its second tour – the first was in October, in the south of the country, for the release of the CD "Funk Milk Riddim", third of the Digitaldubs – began in 2007. In a quick tour of Rio, accompanying the band QG Imperial at a concert, Dada Yute met the studio Muzamba. There, where MPC prepares its bases (which gave it the nickname "M P Cientista"), Dada wrote and recorded at the time, without any major pretensions, a song on the basis "Long Travel Riddim". At the end of that year, Dada's sound, "War and Crime", was taken to the European tour of Digitaldubs, with huge success – mainly at Inglaterra – arousing interest in producers and record companies. Result: the Swiss label proposal Kooga Sound to be released very soon on a disc along with important international stage names such as Rod Taylor, King Kong and others. For the current tour, expectations are the best. "We expect great and positive results from this exchange with Mexican culture," says Dada Yute, who, like Digitaldubs, is a fan of conscious reggae.
