Bahia is home to diversity, rhythms, cuisine, art and even sport. It is in this scenario that the first international sporting event will be held in the capital of Bahia since the year 2000, and along with the championship, a show with the best reggae bands. The Rio attractions Ponto de Equilíbrio and Monte Zion and the bands Diamba and Adão Negro, main representatives of current reggae from Bahia.
The bodyboarding world championship takes place between April 28th and May 3rd, at Praia de Armação, at Salvador. The official event titled “Cobra D’Agua Reggae Music” will take place on the penultimate day, May 2nd, at Bahia Café Hall (Paralela), and will be attended by competitors, as well as people who enjoy surfing, the sea, the night and reggae.

AS BANDAS
The band Diamba launches its 2009 tour at the event, and will also show the Cobra D’Agua Reggae Music audience three songs that will be released before the band's CD. The band intends to repeat on Bahia Café Hall the success of the “Dia do Encontro” event that took place on Concha Acústica do TCA, together with the band Ponto de Equilibrio, and brought together more than five thousand people, with tickets sold out. Already the Adão Negro is on his fifth album “Pele Negra” and features the hit sung by other artists, “Anjo Bom”. The band Ponto de Equilíbrio turns 10 in December and has a lot to celebrate, after all, it is during this period that the band released two singles, “Música de Jah” and “O que eu vejo”, as well as a tour for Brasil, which started in April at Circo Voador, Rio de Janeiro.
