American producer Victor Rice will present a dub version of "Sgt. Pepper’s" in São Paulo!

New York producer and sound engineer Victor Rice will present a special performance of "Easy Star’s Lonely Hearts DUB Band", a reinterpretation by fellow New York group Easy Star All Stars of one of The Beatles' most important albums, "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band". The event takes place on January 23 at 7 p.m. at the Centro Cultural de São Paulo. At the show, Victor will use an 8-channel analog reel-to-reel recorder with the entire album's tracks open, letting the producer perform them as they were recorded in the studio, using recorders and effects as instruments — just as old Jamaican DJs and producers did. Everything is created live through opening and closing recording channels, giving an unconventional DJ set feel.
