The Congos return to the legendary Black Ark and record a new album with Lee Perry! More at Surforeggae!

The Congos, one of the most classic and traditional groups in Jamaica, recently released their newest album - "Back in the Black Ark". The name refers to the famous Lee "Scratch" Perry studio, which was one of those responsible for the group's worldwide explosion in 1977 with the essential "Heart of the Congos". Following the line of excellent releases, such as "Cock Mouth Kill Cock" and "Swinging Bridge", The Congos - formed by Cedric Myton, Congo Ashanty Roy and Watty Burnett - once again brings an excellent album for their fans. Co-produced by Lee Perry, and with renowned Jamaican musicians such as Robbie Lyn, Dwight Pinkney and Boris Gardiner, "Back in the Black Ark" features, in addition to 2 songs produced by Perry, vocals by himself, considered one of the craziest producers in Jamaican music.
