Don Carlos is, without question, one of the most charismatic and talented singers on the world reggae scene, and it seems the icon has surpassed himself once again. After 12 years, the surprise could not have been better. Entitled "Changes", the release brings magnificent, heartfelt compositions, containing every facet of the star.
Don Carlos's sweet, celebrated voice remains the same one that earned him legendary status through 30 years of career, 33 albums, and all his rich contributions to strengthening reggae music and culture. Since his first album "Suffering" in 1981, "Changes" has come to mark his career — starting with the cover art, considered precious and fitting to the importance of the release, and it is with pride that the Surforeggae team participated in this creation.

INSERT ARTWORK
In addition to releasing the album through its label SURFOLABEL, Rangel Melkunas, Surforeggae designer and illustrator, created the cover and insert. For the art concept, the work counted on the partnership of another member, Rafael Costa. On the cover, several elements carry the names of songs from "Changes", with special attention to the "little Don Carlos" figures climbing the original — an allusion to the world of "Gulliver": they represent phases of Don Carlos's career and dress as on the cover photos. The "references" came from the following albums: "Them Never Know Natty Dread Have Him Credential", "Spread Out", "Ease Up", "Harvest Time" and "Deeply Concerned".THE SONGS
MOVING is the simplest term we can use to define the new work of an artist of Don Carlos's stature. The songs show all the experience acquired over three decades in an album worthy of a Grammy. Anyone hearing "Rude Boy - Go Easy" for the first time will feel the weight of roots and the richness of the message, and if you find yourself humming "Go easy with it, take it easy Rude Booooy" several times a day, don't worry — it was just the DON CARLOS effect that got you. "I Don't Know" is smooth and danceable, perfect for any radio playlist. "Really and Truly" follows the same line and is already considered by fans one of the album's best. On "Changes", Don Carlos shows himself even more in love with Jah in true praise songs like the beautiful and well-written "My Life" and "I Love Jah Jah", where the instrumental section is spine-tingling. Another highlight is the heavy "Favorite Cup", an imposing rhythm that will remind any fan of classic songs like "Blackout in the Ghetto", "Johnny Big Mouth", "Jah Light" or "Hog and Goat". "Hallelujah" is upbeat, joyful, an engaging groove marked by the illustrious presence of Chaka Demus, another renowned reggaeman. All songs are written by Don Carlos, except the one that gives the CD its title, "Changes", written by the late Dennis Brown. With the original name "Things in Life", Don's version retains all the emotion and its beautiful message. However, the album "Changes" is indispensable for any collector or lover of true reggae music, already one of the main works of Don Carlos's career.TRACK LIST
