"Conexão Brasil x Jamaica": Don Carlos and Ponto de Equilíbrio together on historic tour! See confirmed dates!

As Marcus Garvey would say, "A people without knowledge of their history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots." It is from this precept that Ponto de Equilibrio is increasingly seeking its roots. In reggae, it is well known that the roots lie in Jamaica, so nothing is fairer than drawing even closer to them and bringing for the release of its CD in April 2010 one of its greatest idols of all time — Don Carlos (founding member of Black Uhuru).
Don Carlos made his first recording at age 13, and in 2010 he will complete 45 years on the road as one of the most prestigious artists in the reggae world. Ponto de Equilíbrio, emerging from Vila Isabel (Rio de Janeiro) in 1999, is today one of the greatest forces in Brazilian reggae, having already represented Brazil at major festivals such as Rototom Sunsplash in Italy.

TWO RELEASES
Ponto's new CD, besides featuring a song recorded with Don Carlos, has special guest appearances from major names in Brazilian music — Marcelo D2 and Jorge Dupeixe (Nação Zumbi). The CD cover will be signed by Os Gêmeos, Brazil's most renowned graffiti artists worldwide. Don Carlos's new album — "Changes", to be released in Brazil by Surforeggae — features unreleased songs and some covers, with cover art by Rangel Melkunas and Rafael Costa of Surforeggae (Click here to see the cover). To celebrate, nothing is fairer than putting these giants side by side. In April 2010 the Brazil x Jamaica Connection will take place with these authentic representatives of each country's reggae movement. Several cities in Brazil and South America can start preparing, because besides full shows by both acts, unique unforgettable moments will happen when the two join on stage to sing the hit "Stay Alive" together.CONFIRMED DATES
