SOJA (Soldiers of Jah Army) is undoubtedly one of the biggest forces in International Reggae in Brazil. The band is now preparing for its boldest move yet - the “Everything Changes” tour, which will celebrate the release of the new single of the same name. The song will be sold on iTunes starting in September, and its exclusive free online download will be available here on Surforeggae. The group's success is evident in songs like "True Love" (whose video on YouTube with Portuguese subtitles has already surpassed 3.9 million views) and "I Don't Wanna Wait", a hit on radio stations across Europe, the United States and Brazil. The group features a pair of highly talented singers who complement each other, backed by a first-rate band, including beautiful horn arrangements. While Jacob Hemphill (vocals and guitar) brings a smooth and calm voice, Bob Jefferson (vocals and bass) carries the full energy of Hip-hop and Ragga influences, making the band even more engaging across Reggae's many branches, such as Roots, Dub and Raggamuffin. The most recent album, “Born in Babylon,” was released in 2009 by the Surforeggae label and celebrates the success of tracks such as “I Don’t Wanna Wait” and “You And Me,” which produced outstanding music videos that ranked among the most requested on several music TV channels. As the rights holder for Born in Babylon in South America, Surforeggae Label now makes the full album available for download here. The band is already recording its new CD, and the show setlists will certainly include new songs such as “Everything Changes.” Another major highlight is that this year two Brazilian capitals will host, together for the first time, the two biggest names of new-generation world reggae - SOJA and GROUNDATION - in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, respectively. This year SOJA will perform in some cities for the first time, such as Recife and São Luís, as well as in others left out over the past two years, such as Rio de Janeiro and Porto Alegre.
