DATES CONFIRMMADAS
STEEL PULSE
It was 1975 in Birmigham, England, when three young people from the black neighborhood ofHandsworth, descendants of Jamaican immigrants, decided to channel their energy and frustrations into music, forming a band that would become one of the most loved and respected among regueiros around the world,Steel Pulse. In the midst of shows with some bands of the time, such asClash,XTC,Police,Stranglers, and the opening ofBob Marleyshows in 1978 and 1979 across Europe,Steel Pulsefound space to convey its vehement anti-establishment message to skinheads and punks, who loved the band. His first CD, “Handsworth Revolution”, released in 1978, is still considered one of the best reggae CDs in history thanks to his single “Ku Klux Klan”, which is one of the most performed reggae songs around the world. The band already has more than 20 recorded CDs in its discography, including “Tribute to the Martys”, “True Democracy” and “Babylon the Bandit” which won the 1985 Grammy.

BALANCE POINT
Considered one of the biggest reggae bands in Brazil, Ponto has just released its third CD "Dia após dia lutando". A decade of good music, fun, struggle and lots of learning. The most recent lesson learned by the group concerns the market. After working at a medium-sized record company and more recently at a multinational, people came to the conclusion that the best option is independence. More than that: there is a need to always innovate, which is clearly shown in the new work that was produced by the group. "Dia após dia lutando" contains twelve tracks of his own compositions and also contains appearances byMarcelo D2,Jorde Du Peixe-Nação Zumbi,The CongosandDon Carlos.
