Groundation prepares to release "The Gathering of the Elders"! Learn more on Surforeggae!

No group from the new generation of global reggae has stronger connections with the roots of Jamaican music than Groundation. From the third album "Hebron Gate" (2002) to the most recent "Here I Am" (2009) the band has worked with some of the greatest exponents who helped establish reggae worldwide. Now the Californians release "The Gathering of the Elders", a collection of 10 tracks with Pablo Moses, Don Carlos, Ijahman Levi, The Congos and Apple Gabriel, presented in a way that tells the story of their struggle, the achievements and the barriers faced by each one. Each song is accompanied by never-before-seen interviews from the veterans with messages behind the music. The album will be in stores on July 17, 2011 and precedes Groundation's next release with new songs that are already in a state of completion.
