CONFIRMED! Groundation officially launches Building an Ark in South America at the end of August!
The Groundation has already shown on five continents why it is one of the greatest powers in the world Reggae. In Brasil, in addition to the sold out shows on their last tour, this strength was proven with the release of the new album “Building an Ark” in April, which quickly reached the top of the important charts and was among the most talked about topics on the Internet. Three days after its release, the album was already the 3rd most downloaded on the mobile operator's Online Store Claro, behind only Madonna and Mr. Catra. In the weekly ranking of Crowley, one of the most important in the country, Groundation came in 4th place overall in terms of digital music downloads, ahead of popular national names such as Latino, Nação Zumbi, Capital Inicial, Rita Lee and Jeito Moleque. As if that weren't enough, the single “Humility”, which gave rise to a beautiful music video, came in second place in the ranking of independently distributed music in Brasil, behind only a country duo featuring the singer Gusttavo Lima. To celebrate the huge success, the band will be on América do Sul from August 21st to September 10th officially launching the album, with their new show which is selling out tickets at the moment for almost Europa. The band, which headlines the biggest festivals of its kind in the world, has acquired respect that has led to partnerships with several Jamaican reggae legends on its albums, names such as Don Carlos, Apple Gabriel, The Congos, Ijahman Levy, Pablo Moses and Ras Michael, all of this combined with the distinct fusion of Reggae with Jazz and elements of R&B and Soul that make the sound of Groundation adored by followers not only Reggae, but several other musical styles.

While AMAZON.COM, quotes “Can anyone else in the reggae world get close to these guys now?” the respected THEDUBSIDE.COM talks about Building an Ark – "This album deserves to be listened to. Not on a crowded bus or on a distracted and quick trip home by car. It is the soundtrack for an entire trip on a long and wide road". Destaque para faixas como "Humility", "Payaka Way", "Merry go round" e "Daniel", which also features the presence of Lukas Nelson, son of legendary American country singer Willie Nelson. With 14 years of history, eight original albums and a collection that has testimonials from several world reggae icons in its favor, the Californian band collects hits, fans and followers from all four corners of the world. Harrison Stafford (vocals and guitar), Marcus Urani (keyboard, organ and melodic), Ryan Newman (bass), Te Kanawa Haereiti (drums), Kerry-Ann Morgan (backing vocals), Kim Pommell (backing vocals), James “Mingo” Lewis (percussion), David Chachere (trumpet) and Kelsey Howard (trombone) are now ready to give you chills to the bones of quality music lovers. Are you going to stay out?
