Son of a father from Minas Gerais and a mother from São Paulo, Bernardo Dallalana Passos was born in 1983 in the city of Rio de Janeiro. At 15 he went to live in Juiz de Fora, where he was strongly influenced by reggae music and founded Banda “Rama Ruana”. After 2 years he returned to Itaipava and together with childhood friends Banda “Pedra Raiz” was created.
It was a strong group that mixed Reggae, R&B and Rock. Banda ended after Pedro (Drummer) was fired in a motorcycle accident. He left the scene, studied and later recorded a demo with 5 songs and began a series of presentations together with Banda “Inspire”, composed of musicians from Rio and Petrópolis with whom he recorded his 1st album; “Que a Música Reggae para o Povo” from (2005).
After some transformations, mistakes and successes, his work gained new flavors and Brazilian ritmos. This can be seen in his new album “A Ponte” which was recorded at the beginning of the year in Maranhão, better known as "Jamaica Brasileira".
