A Tropa celebrates 10 years and releases their first music video for the single 'MANTRA'! Watch!

A Tropa celebrates ten years on stage and prepares the release of its first album. With ten years of existence, the band A Tropa is preparing a series of releases in celebration of their years on the road and the debut of their first album, scheduled for the end of this year. The kickoff to the upcoming sequence of debuts – two clips, an album and a documentary – is the music video “Mantra”. Recorded in Pedra do Baú and Pindamonhangaba (city of musicians), the video features a special appearance by Teco Martins, lead singer of Rancore. Together with Kene Konaman, they sing about the importance of ideological tolerance. In the video, playful images, filmed with vintage film, show children distributing posters with positive messages throughout the streets. The scenes are symbolisms of what the band intends to convey with their songs – a sweet protest on political, social and emotional issues. Formed by Kene Konaman, Jota P, Mateus da Mata, Marco Vinci, Marcos Guimarães, Alexandre Campos, A Tropa uses reggae as the guideline for their music. At the same time, it mixes rhythm variations such as dub and ragga and also incorporates the distorted guitars of rock, the groove of soul and electronic elements of dubstep.
