In September reggae speaks louder in Belém do Pará. Old school and new school reggae meet in the Amazon for a great regueira communion. Bringing together attractions such as Jamaican Etana - the first time in the country - accompanied by the band The Raw Soul Rebels, a big name in the new generation of "modern conscious reggae", and national artists of importance in the scene such as São Paulo's Junior Dread and Fabiana Rasta (Capital Roots) from São Luís.

THE EVENT
The festival is organized by Coletivo Tacape Reggae, a new group that brings together activists from the organized reggae movement and aims to value reggae culture based on concepts of peace, ancestry and principles of Rastafari philosophy in local and national actions. Social transformation through individual awareness is Tacape Reggae's fight. The collective already has representatives in the states of Ceará, São Paulo, Maranhão and Roraima in addition to the initial nucleus in Pará. Among the events already held by its members, Tributo a Bob Marley 2013 can be highlighted, which brought together more than 25 thousand people in an open square in the center of the capital of Pará. In addition to the shows, the event will feature a reggae culture exhibition, which includes a “vinyl tent”, with an exhibition of records and DJs playing straight from the cracker, a roots fair with clothes, accessories, typical foods and an exhibition of photos and collections of the reggae movement in Pará.LOCAL: SANTA ALDEIA
The location chosen by the organization was Santa Aldeia, an arena for 8 thousand people on the banks of the river Guamá facing Floresta Amazônica. The place has a warehouse over the river, providing an alternative lounge space for the public. The entire sound and light structure is being prepared to satisfy the expectations of the most demanding watering public. Santa Aldeia has hosted shows by Alika, David Hinds (Steel Pulse), Cidade Verde Sounds, Max Romeo, Cedric Myton and The Congos and Alborosie.EVENT DATA
