"Brazilian Day" is the largest celebration of Brazilian immigrants in Uncle Sam's lands. There are several events with this name across the United States, all with the same purpose: "To make Brazilians feel close to home, even so far away from it". One we can highlight is the "Brazilian Day" in the city of San Diego, California. In this 2015 edition, the producers opened a contest called "Passaporte Brazilian Day", which consists of bringing a Brazilian band - with all expenses paid - to perform there in the United States. There is a site called CLAPME ("applaud me" in Portuguese), where the band posts a video and receives "applauses" (something like Facebook likes) that - depending on the quantity - can determine the group's trip to the event.

MATO SECO AT BRAZILIAN DAY

The band Mato Seco is taking part in the contest and needs your vote so it can properly represent the strength of national reggae on American soil. Just access the CLAPME website and vote. It is quick and easy. The more CLAP CLAP (applause) the band receives, the closer it will be to the contest finals. The curation will take place through votes from judges and from fans.
