The new track from Digitaldubs, titled "In the Beginning", features legendary Jamaican singer Cedric Myton, famous for the group The Congos, in partnership with Afromandinga, the group of guitarist André Sampaio (former Ponto de Equilíbrio).
Blending roots reggae, dub and afrobeat, the groove and the message call us into a trance and a dance carried by African rhythms and the nyahbhingi beat (original Rastafari music). Produced and mixed by Digitaldubs, the instrumental is actually a remix of the song "Zimbabwenin" by André Sampaio & os Afromandinga, released on the album Desaguou (2013).

With its new arrangement, the song resurfaces with André's guitar as the guiding line, and a heavy bass and drum foundation setting the stage for the high notes of Cedric's voice. It is easy to draw a parallel between this new sound and the classic work of The Congos at Lee Perry's studio in the 1970s.
This release comes with a beautiful video showing the charismatic "Congoman" climbing Pedra Bonita, in Gávea, Rio de Janeiro. Also appearing in the footage is one of the first percussionists to record the nyahbhingi rhythm in Jamaica, the elder Bongo Joe.
In May, the 12" vinyl record with this track arrives in Brazil, accompanied by dub versions and another version featuring another Jamaican legend, MC Ranking Joe!Category
