Great Michael Prophet dies, another legend of Jamaican reggae! Learn more!

Michael Prophet, a Jamaican artist who achieved great success in the 80s, did not survive lung cancer and passed away last Saturday, December 16. He became known for classics like "Gunman" and "Jah Love" as well as working with producers such as Henry "Junjo" Lawes and Yabby You. Another highlight of some of his albums are the combinations with great musicians like the Roots Radics and the High-Times Band. Michael Prophet left too soon, at only 60 years old, and lived in London. With a striking voice, he leaves behind a body of work that undoubtedly forms part of Jamaican reggae history.
