Reggae promise Igor Salify releases his second album packed with special guests!

Igor Salify is one of the promises of National Reggae and is preparing to release his second album, "Vivendo o Agora", on February 16 on all digital platforms. Igor developed his passion for music as a child, the time of his first contact with Reggae. His interest in Africa and the culture of his ancestors later gave rise to his artistic surname, which is also a tribute to the African icon "Salif Keita". Salify, as he is affectionately called by fans and friends, became a musician self-taught in his teens leading the band "Direto ao Ponto", where he sang, played and composed for 8 years. "Vivendo o Agora" was recorded at Pedra de Céu studio in Santo Amaro, Recôncavo Baiano (birthplace of names like Edson Gomes, Sine Calmon and Nengo Vieira) and mastered at Lion & Fox (Washington DC, USA), the studio responsible for finalizing works by the greatest names in world reggae such as Israel Vibration, Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaacs, Groundation, Burning Spear and Don Carlos. The 15-track album features a lineup of heavyweight guest appearances never before seen on a national reggae record. Among them, Vaughn Benjamin, vocalist of Midnite and Akae Beka, respected groups from the Virgin Islands; Jamaican Michael Rose, original vocalist of Black Uhuru, Grammy winner; Anthony B, a major highlight of Jamaican Ragga; Guillermo Bonetto of Los Cafres, Argentina's biggest reggae band, whose videos reach around 40 million views on YouTube; Luiz de Assis, vocalist of Vibrações, one of the forces of the new generation of national reggae; Laurent "Tippy" Alfred, music producer responsible for various internationally prominent projects over the last 15 years, and Edu Sattajah, the country's most respected reggae bassist, from the São Paulo band Leões de Israel. With executive production by Rafael Costa and musical production by Werner Argolo, "Vivendo o Agora" brings tracks in Portuguese, English and Spanish with reflections on nature and everyday life, as well as love songs and about each human being's beliefs. Without a doubt an album that will mark the history of reggae in Brazil.
