Amazonrasta! Documentary premieres at the Shamanic Cinema Showcase in São Paulo!

Documentary recorded in the Amazon rainforest, São Paulo, Ethiopia, South Africa and Chile is scheduled for release next Thursday, November 11th in two in-person sessions at Cine Belas Artes in São Paulo, starting at 9pm. "AmazonRasta" is a documentary 'roadmovie' which follows the musical and spiritual journeys of Carlos Pereira Marques, RasKadhu, born in São Paulo, the Brazilian Babylon. He is a musician and composer, leader of the band JAH I RAS and seeks affirmations in his music and in his paths within the Amazon Forest with the teachings of Santo Daime and Ethiopia with Rastafarian teachings. RasKadhu's travels through these diverse worlds bring us surprising and exciting connections. Rasta culture brings a natural way of living. Daime is a spiritual journey linked in nature. In search of his spiritual blessings, Ras Kadhu goes to: the Amazon, in contact with an original Santo Daime community, founded by Padrinho Sebastião; Ethiópia, in contact with an original Rastafarian community, interviewing historical characters; Chile, in a performance of his songs at LollaPallooza; and in São Paulo showing its origins and its Rastafarian and Daimist representation with its community.
