Bob's grandson Jo Mersa Marley dies prematurely at 31. Learn more.

Another sad piece of news for the reggae world. Jo Mersa Marley, Bob's grandson and Stephen Marley's son, passed away at the age of 31. Jo Mersa was found already lifeless in a vehicle in the United States. Sources close to him say the artist suffered an asthma attack. The musician lived in Jamaica during his early years, but moved to Florida to finish his studies. Among his main works are the EP "Comfortable" (2014) and the single "Burn It Down" (2016). The artist's last EP was "Eternal", released in 2021. Jo Mersa Marley leaves behind a wife and daughter.
