Anti Babylon rocks CCSP with Tribute to the Legends of Reggae show!

Anti Babylon
On July 4, 2003, Friday, 7 pm..... Centro Cultural SP prepares to host the Tribute to Reggae Legends show with the São Paulo band Anti Babylon, one of the best Reggae bands today, with excellent show quality and stage performance. With special guest vocalists from some of Brazil's best Reggae bands, the show was eagerly awaited by the audience. Right off the bat the band is introduced by the legendary Jail Mahal (host of the Reggae Raiz program on Brasil 2000FM and vocalist of Pacíficos da Ilha). Anti Babylon takes the stage with their new song "A Trilha Sonora dos Aventureiros", an instrumental, roots and original Reggae. It was the signal for the audience to put on their helmets because the night promised plenty of "gems"... After some time of the show, with great songs written by the band itself, the jams begin. Invited back on stage, Jail Mahal took part in a medley version of "Nada Mudou" (Cidade Negra) with "Pass The Kouchie" (Mighty Diamonds). Next, Solano Rasta (Leões de Israel) performs "Shine Eye Gal" by Black Uhuru with great feeling. At the end of the jams, Thiago "Bing Dread" calls the Maranhão native Luciana, from Mystical Roots, for a killer partnership on two Reggae Music classics: "Makka Splaff" (Steel Pulse) and "Night Nurse" (Gregory Isaacs). It was enough to just close your eyes and let yourself be carried away by the magic of the sound. Pato Banton, Dawn Penn, Peter Tosh and others were also part of the repertoire. After an hour and a half the band leaves the stage to loud applause. Congratulations to everyone responsible for the event and to Anti-Babylon, which with the originality of its own songs and high-quality cover versions made Friday the most Roots. Anti-Babylon supports environmental organizations and social/community work. Support: Orange Flys Skateboards, SurfoReggae and Sonic Temple Studio
