Deskareggae, for those who don't know, is a completely innovative project in the Reggae scene in Minas Gerais.The place chosen to host the event was the old Sambatório Geral Carlos Prates, which every Wednesday was filled with good reggae vibes. The bands that were part of the first night were Macucos (ES), Rudy Boys (BH) and Manitu (BH). In addition to bringing Reggae, there is also a charitable proposal, as every last edition of the month of the festival collects food to be donated to Fome Zero. DeSkaReggae aims to strengthen the Reggae scene in BH and spread other styles of Jamaican music, such as Reggae Roots, Ska, Rock Steady, Dub, Raggamufin and others, showing that reggae is as rich as any other musical style and is not limited to just the greats, Bob Marley and Peter Tosh. The Jamaican scene has a large and quality peace army, about which little has been said. The time is unknown due to the media's lack of interest in the subject or its interest in hiding truths told in the music of this regueira nation. After the appearance of DeSkaReggae, several bands in the genre emerged and those that already existed became stronger and strengthened the movement. Mutual help as both the musicians and producers involved have common goals, peace, unity, solidarity, living in a fairer society with equal opportunities, spreading the sacred energy of JAH or, if you prefer, GOD. Currently, DeSkaReggae has the proposal to bring a band from outside Minas Gerais once a month. Groups such as Kanabaus (ES), Jahcareggae (DF), Ponto de Equilíbrio (RJ) and Walking Lions (SP) performed great shows on the Project stage, which recently celebrated its second anniversary.
