Even without support, Salvador's Roots Reggae movement remains solid as a rock!

Salvador, one of the cities with the most talented Reggae Raiz artists in the country is experiencing difficulties. The lack of incentive on the part of promoters of major events, who insist on bringing the same attractions to the public, makes it even more difficult for these bands to reach larger audiences. With the consolidation of "panelas", which seem to be increasingly well organized and closed, artists who, for the most part, deserve space much more than those who are in the spotlight are experiencing difficulties.

The movement that remains independent, without stimuli, but very firm and committed, has as its main exponents
groups such as Moa Anbesa, Caruagem de Fogo, Red Meditation, Semente da Paz, Brasmorra, Unidos & Resistências, Geraldo Cristal, among other big names. The lack of alternative spaces for these artists' events to take place is also a major problem. This lack makes the lives of these artists even more difficult, who, independently or with the help of a few, try to convey their message through music, often having to practically pay to show their work.

Due to Reggae being in the hands of people capable of manipulating the public through advertisements that sometimes act as a real brainwashing for the less informed, the unity of the public in the Roots Reggae scene must be greater and greater. Therefore, we appeal to people who are interested in and value this movement, to support the artists, and to never let this flame go out.
