Planeta Reggae brings Alpha Blondy, Andrew Tosh, Ponto de Equilíbrio and other big names to Bahia!

2007 has definitely been an excellent year for Reggae in Brazil. Internationally important artists such as Alpha Blondy, Andrew Tosh, Lucky Dube, The Wailers, Gregory Isaacs, Skatalites, S.O.J.A, Lone Ranger, Matisyahu are just some of the names that have already passed or have confirmed dates in the country. This explosion of Jamaican music has also reached Salvador, which has already hosted great artists from Reggae and which already has another annual festival that promises to shake up the city - "Planeta Reggae", which will take place on May 19th with the presence of none other than Alpha Blondy & Solar System (Ivory Coast - Africa), Andrew Tosh (Jamaica), Ponto de Equilíbrio (Rio de Janeiro), Sine Calmon and Mosiah (Salvador). In addition to these big names in music, Planeta Reggae will have its performance breaks led by Ital Sound System, showing the best of Reggae around the world. In what will be the first edition of Planeta Reggae, Alpha Blondy, one of the biggest stars of the world Reggae will make his fourth performance in the capital of Bahia with his full band, promising a show lasting more than two hours for his fans. The location chosen for another great night of Reggae was the already traditional Wet’n Wild, which has already hosted other beasts, and where the first live DVD of Andrew Tosh was recorded in Tribute to his father, Peter Tosh, and which will be in stores soon. Andrew also promises a vibrant show, as usual and will be accompanied by the same band from the recording of DVD, with which he has already performed in several countries in South America. Launching their new CD "Abre a Janela", the cariocas of Ponto de Equilíbrio will come with another great performance full of new songs and hits from the previous album "Reggae a vida com amor". The band, which is now one of the most acclaimed on the national scene, has stood out and participated in other major shows with international attractions.
