Vp Records Brasil has been largely responsible for keeping the International Reggae flame burning at Brasil. Launching in the country the newest albums by established artists such as Luciano and Morgan Heritage and great promises such as Tarrus Riley and Duane Stephenson, VP Brasil is today a great force that has brought out all the new trends in the most authentic Reggae. After having released several masterpieces of Jamaican rhythm, such as the album "Parables" by Tarrus Riley (son of veteran Jimmy Riley) and "Another Rockaz Moment", from the Morgan Heritage family, VP strikes again with 3 more important albums.
Luciano has been one of the biggest names in Jamaican Reggae in recent years. After his partnership with the veteran Dean "Cannon" Fraser, the greatest saxophonist in the history of Reggae worldwide and who is the musical director of the band "Luci" (as he is affectionately called in Jamaica), the artist has released excellent albums, always bringing an extra spice to authentic modern Reggae Roots. Along with the exponential growth of his visibility in the world of Reggae, Luciano shows in "Jah Is My Navigator" that he is fully mature and his beautiful voice is better than ever. The album, which also features excellent appearances by Andrew Tosh (son of Peter Tosh) and Rochelle Bradshaw, is a great treat for those who like Jamaican rhythm.
Perfect from start to finish, "Jah is My Navigator" brings several well-known riddims to those who are already tuned in to VP's latest releases. Highlights include the title track - "Jah is My Navigator", the beautiful "I’m the Tuffest" (version for I’m The Toughest by Peter Tosh) and the cover of the anthem "Jah Live" by Bob Marley. Showing engagement and concern with social issues in his country, "Luci" also makes a beautiful outburst in "Sweet Jamaica". If you don't have the album yet, run and get yours at the nearest store, as it is without a doubt one of the best Reggae releases of recent times.

Proving that VP Records Brasil is not just about releasing albums by already established artists, "From August Town", by Duane Stephenson, has just been released, one of the great revelations of Jamaican Reggae. Having started his career in the group To Isis, Duane soon emerged on the local scene, standing out for his very in tune and calm vocals, which at times resembles Carlton Coffie, former singer of Inner Circle and at others the great Beres Hammond. Duane draws a lot of attention through this album, showing that he is an excellent composer, and that he knows how to talk about romance, spirituality and social themes harmoniously at the same time. The artist has already signed lyrics for names such as Luciano, Jah Cure, Morgan Heritage and Tarrus Riley, all with albums already released on Brasil through VP Records.
After leaving the group To Isis in 2006, Duane in partnership with the genius Dean "Cannon" Fraser has just released another essential work for Reggae lovers. Without a doubt Stephenson is a name that we should pay close attention to in the present and in the future, as it is in the hands of artists like this that veterans are leaving their legacy. In "From August Town" we can highlight tracks such as "Love Inna di City", which features the great "Ragga/rootsman" Anthony B, "Cottage in Negril", a beautiful love song and "August Town", a track in the same riddim as "Jah Live" where Duane talks about a story of overcoming faith based on Jah - Rastafari.

The already established Morgan Heritage family, made up of 5 brothers (4 men and one woman), who were introduced to music by their father (Denroy Morgan) also has a new album. The album, which is called "Mission in Progress", clearly shows Morgan Heritage's intention to take flight towards new trends and musical experiments. After having placed classics such as "Don’t Haffi Dread", "More Teachings" and the "Family & Friends" series on the international market, where they helped reveal to the world other Reggae greats such as Bushman, Prince Theo and LMS, Morgan Heritage comes with a very striking Reggae/Rock footprint. The group, which is today very successful and consolidated, is already capable of investing in conquering new audiences, without losing its faithful lovers, as "Mission in Progress" shows great experimentation, but without straying from the essence and quality, which is always striking in the band's albums. Another unmissable release from VP Brasil, highlighting tracks like "Politician", "Mission in Progress" and "Love you Right", a beautiful romantic ballad sung with all the feeling by Luke Morgan.
