São Paulo prepares to host one of the biggest Reggae festivals of the year! See on Surforeggae!
The City of São Paulo is once again about to host a major reggae festival. Conexão Brasil X Jamaica will take place at Ginásio do Palmeiras, on 11/7 (Saturday) and will feature no less than two major international attractions, and major highlights from the national scene. The first name on the list needs no comment. Don Carlos, a Jamaican artist with a 45-year career and more than 30 albums captivates everyone wherever he goes, whether in Europe, the United States, Japan or Brazil, with an enviable list of hits that have won over audiences of all ages across the planet. The second international attraction of the night is Apple Gabriel, which will be in Brazil for the first time. Apple is a former member and founder of the internationally renowned Israel Vibration. The singer was responsible for creating and establishing the vocal harmonies that became the group's trademark and now in a solo career he will showcase not only the hits from the Israel Vibration era, but also his new hits. On the Brazilian side, we will have the band Mato Seco, which has established itself as one of the biggest names in national Reggae. Mato Seco has just released its new album, which will also be distributed to the first thousand people who buy tickets to the show. Aline Duran, the new face of contemporary reggae has just released its first CD through Deckdisc featuring musicians such as Bi Ribeiro and João Fera (Paralamas do Sucesso), Black Alien and the DJ Completing the team and not to leave anyone standing still, the band Damata that has been standing out on the São Paulo scene and the DJ Yellow P who will be sending the rocks straight from the pickup trucks. Conexão Brasil X Jamaica will have two stages, and an entire super structure that is being set up to serve the public. In respect of this, the production of the event is being planned so that the schedules are respected and that, above all, international attractions appear early. So, if you haven't purchased your ticket, hurry up and secure your spot at one of the biggest shows of the year.
