Farewell to Lloyd Ricketts, vocalist of legendary Jamaican group The Itals!

Jamaican singer Lloyd Rickets, member of "The Itals", passed away on July 21st. The artist was born on September 23, 1947. Together with Ronnie Davis and Keith Porter, Lloyd formed one of the most respected vocal trio on the island, author of some of reggae's biggest hits such as "In a dis ya time", "Don’t wake the lion" e "Brutal", tendo inclusive o seu álbum "Rasta Philosophy", in 1985, nominated for a Grammy.
After David Isaacs's death in 2009, the possibility arose for Itals to return to their original lineup with Lloyd Ricketts. Recently this was confirmed, but once again the group is sadly missing. The cause of death was not reported.
