Musician Ras Bernardo, also famous for being a vocalist and one of the founders of Cidade Negra, was shot yesterday (Wednesday) in Nova Iguaçu (Fluminense Baixada - RJ), close to his home. The reason for what happened has not yet been officially clarified, but information alleges that a man hiding in the bushes fired the shots.

Ras Bernardo is hospitalized at Hospital de Posse, in Nova Iguaçu, and according to his advisor, the singer is in a stable condition and is not at risk of death. Entry into the hospital was at 10 pm, and the reason recorded was "multiple gunshots to the abdomen".

Ras Bernardo is about to release his new album, "Direção Leste", and fans hope that the singer will recover soon to return to the stages where he has been performing regularly.
