This month, the Curitiba band Namastê completes 19 years on the road and will be back in São Paulo for a special performance on the Estúdio Showlivre program, the most important web TV for independent music.
In addition to the live/online performance, Namastê will play a show at Toca do Leão, the famous venue in Sorocaba, where the audience will be able to enjoy the band's unreleased songs.
(Listen to "Sobre a Natureza")
With nearly two decades on the scene, Namastê was a pioneer in having women as its lead vocalists, and also for establishing a superior quality standard as a backing band for major national and international stars, such as the "prince" Andrew Tosh, with whom they played together for 12 years throughout South America.
Composed of Ana and Lagme (vocals), Eduardo and Diego (guitars), Wellington (bass), bruno (drums), Rodrigo Martins, the band blends in its compositions the swing of roots reggae, allied with the melody of mpb and a touch of rock energy.
Steadily moving forward, the band attracts, day after day, followers of its style.
